At last night’s meeting, one of our newer members, Monika, completed her first speech: The Ice Breaker.
We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to listen to her tell us a bit about herself; about her early childhood growing up in the former Czechoslovakia; how her life changed when The Iron Curtain came down; and how her sense of identity changed over the years.
Monika, thank you for opening up to us and sharing such a wonderful story with us last night. It was a pleasure to witness the start of a very promising Toastmaster’s career.
