Impressions shared: Nuremberg Toastmasters Early Summer Hiking Tour in the Franconian Switzerland (German: Fränkische Schweiz) around Egloffstein, on Sunday June 7th, 2015.
It was a wonderful day that Jutta Finger chose for us to go hiking together with our families and dogs. We started off fresh at around 10:45 setting forth with a sporty take-off past the Town Hall of Egloffstein going up and up until we reached the crest of the ridge and were rewarded with wonderful views of the Egloffstein Castle
Wow what a beautiful site which you see out of some of the attached pictures. After 2 hours of hiking we enjoyed some typical Franconian food at Gasthof Schlehenmühle (www.gasthof-schlehenmuehle.de).
The return hike took us down past a water mill which produces 300kW of power each day and some of our engineering folk got some impressions of water power. What a great hike and day we had, ending it with up with strawberries, cake and ice cream.
Thanks to Jutta for organizing this hike!
