The contestants of the English Evaluations along with the Contest Chair
On April 25th, the Division I95 Conference in Regensburg took place. More than 100 Toastmasters from all of the Bavarian Toastmaster clubs enjoyed listening to compelling contest speeches and attending informative workshops on personal growth and professional subjects. Nine members of our club attended the conference, too. Even one of our club members competed, namely Phuc-An.

“For me, it was a pleasant day. I liked the dynamic and definitely the contest speeches. I believe that reaching such a level of stage presence requires three things: practice, practice and practice. The selection of the subject is extremely important in order to connect with the public. Pauses and jokes definitely have a breakthrough effect.” Luis
“I had a very pleasant and interesting day at the Division Conference in Regensburg. The venue was well chosen as the hotel provided great infrastructure and good catering for such an event. Both contests were at a very high level and the winners deserve it well to represent our Division I95 at the next level which is the District 95 Contest. Furthermore, I was pleased to see that the dedicated workshops addressed very practical topics and were conducted professionally. All in all, Toastmasters at its best.” Tobias
“For the first time I took part as a contestant at the Toastmasters Division Conference. Even a contest is a competition situation, members of Toastmasters are always supportive, friendly and great people to be with. I didn’t make it to the next level. But, the experience of taking part is incredible and differs very much from everything I learned at the club meetings. Looking on my Toastmasters membership in general: it is absolutely worth it!”
